Augusta University Cancer Research Lab

Augusta University, located in Augusta, Georgia,  was a comprehensive Academic Health Center providing Education, Research, and Clinical Care. Augusta University (formerly Georgia Regent’s University) outlined an ambitious plan for growth that establishes several key targets that included doubling the research faculty. This particular project was designed to increase the amount of research space in order to recruit the critical mass of scientist needed to achieve their aggressive growth plan.

The project involved building out  the first floor shell space (approximately  9,167 square feet) in the GRU Cancer Research Building.  This space was renovated to create an efficient open research space, adding approximately 550 linear feet of wet bench tops, new shared equipment and microscope areas, shared tissue culture labs, washers, autoclaves, freezers, offices and cold rooms.
