Hillsborough County Spoto High School Classroom Additions
The Spoto High School Classroom Addition project consists of a 20 classroom, two story concrete tilt wall addition on occupied campus with a campus HVAC system upgrade. The 29,340 SF addition will house general classrooms, Chemistry and Biology labs and a Culinary Arts teaching kitchen. The campus wide HVAC system will be upgraded and include replacement chillers, pumps and cooling tower. The addition will be partially built in the existing Student Parking Lot requiring relocation of several underground utility services and the reconfiguration of parking. The new building will be adjacent another classroom building and will be connected with a 2nd floor level bridge. The campus will remain active and occupied during all phases of construction which will require the campus wide HVAC work to be performed in a condensed time frame over Winter Break necessitating detailed coordination and sequence of activities to ensure the campus systems are operational at all times.
