“Tallahassee’s Maclay School is opening a 20,000 square foot classroom wing this week that cost $7.5 million to build — and includes a 210-gallon saltwater aquarium. The Beck Family Innovation Center includes multiple science labs, new administrative offices, a common room area, a coffee shop and an art gallery, according to a press release. The new wing at the private school off North Meridian Road was dedicated on Tuesday. The facility was designed by Elliott, Marshall Innes Architects and built by AJAX Construction, according to the release. Two of the six science labs will be devoted to biology, two to chemistry, one to physics, and one will be a computer science, robotics, and engineering lab. The nearly 5,000 square foot Langford Hall also includes a stage for presentations, study carousels, a 24 foot large-screen video wall and the aquarium.”
