The FEPA alert, Chris Eliadis, FPEM
“On June 1 and 2, 2024 the Emergency Management team hosted two community open houses in collaboration with our partners. These events welcomed residents into the new facility, providing them with valuable insights into emergency management procedures. Attendees also had the opportunity to engage with partners from Brevard County Fire Rescue, Brevard County Libraries, Brevard County Public Works, Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, Coastal Health Systems of Brevard, the Central Brevard Humane Society, the Save Our Indian River Lagoon Program, and the Salvation Army.”
“Historically, Brevard EOC has the distinction as the most often activated county emergency center in the state of Florida with 88 activations posted in 2023 alone. The new facility spans 54,000 square feet and was constructed with an emphasis on modern technology, with adequate space for meeting rooms, bunk areas and a kitchen. All of these amenities and capabilities were designed with a significate level of detail to meet the current and future needs of the facility.”
