Ribbon Cutting to Celebrate Grand Opening of the Brand New Okaloosa Courthouse.
Crestview, FL – November 16, 2018 – Ajax Building Corporation, Sam Marshall Architects, and RQAW Consulting Engineers & Architects will join Okaloosa County leaders and Crestview community members as they cut the ribbon opening the doors to their brand new Okaloosa County Courthouse.
Ajax led the Design-Build team to replace the original courthouse built in 1953, which has not been able to keep up with the growth of the community. The new 68,000 square foot facility provides an efficient design to the citizens of Okaloosa County, while enhancing County services to the public. Courtrooms and Judges Chambers, along with court support space are a primary component of the new Courthouse. In addition, the County will house several of its administrative services, including a Board of County Commissioners Chamber, in the new facility.
It will be a welcome aesthetic addition for business owners on Main Street. It will also remove the commute for local law firms, whose attorneys were forced to travel to a Courthouse Annex Extension in Fort Walton Beach, almost 30 miles away.
