PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project consisted of the construction of an approximately 70,000 square foot classroom building for the Warrington College of Business Administration at the University of Florida. The building’s impressive lobby greets you with Caribbean coral floors, Venetian plaster on the walls and a glass curtain wall design that creates an bright and open common space. The building includes classrooms, seminar and meeting rooms, study/lounge space for graduate students, along with staff offices and support spaces capable of hosting special events. This new building is located at the de facto “front door” to the University. This building is a student-oriented building designed to meet the needs of demanding professional programs, some of which are taught on weekends. The design included comfortable and technologically advanced spaces which will promote both individual and team-oriented discussion, research, and interaction.
