Holy Comforter Episcopal School STEM Classroom Addition

Ajax was proud to be a part of the addition of the new STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) Building to Holy Comforter Episcopal School’s Campus.  The new building gave HCES the opportunity to expand their Middle School Program by offering a range of 21st Century thinking skills as they prepare for high school and beyond. The demands of the workforce have changed in the constantly evolving information age and we need to ensure that students develop the creative, problem-solving and critical thinking skills, not to mention new digital literacies that will be essential to their future success.

The 12,385 SF building was designed to incorporate LEED principles (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) and other environmental best management practices.  In addition, many of the structural, electrical and mechanical components of the project were left exposed to be used as teaching tools for student learning.
