PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Ajax has completed a total of ten projects at Doak Campbell Stadium over the past twenty years; including 3 additions to increase stadium seating as well as painting projects and a new scoreboard. FSU has depended on Ajax to complete these projects on time and to finish the work with the highest quality.

The West Skybox Expansion project increased the skybox capacity for the Seminole Boosters. In the 1998 and 1999 seasons, the Seminole Boosters flew in temporary mobile trailers or “Skyboxes” to alleviate the pressure for more space. After the 1999 football season, plans were completed to add 16 new skyboxes to the West Complex of the stadium.

This was a fast tracked project and had added complexity of working above 6 floors of occupied space along with obvious difficulties of erecting a structure 100 feet above the ground. After the project was contracted, the owner requested changing the traditional fixed window system facing the field to an operable system that could be opened. Ajax coordinated all changes with its subcontractors and still completed the project three weeks early giving the owner plenty of time to furnish and coordinate any remaining items in the new skyboxes.
