PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Ajax Building Corporation is proud to have been selected as the Construction Manager of the Paul B. Stephens Exceptional Education Center by the Pinellas County School Board. This new 93,722 SF facility is located on an 18 acre site adjoining the existing Paul B. Stephens ESE Center on County Road #193, in Clearwater Florida.

This new facility is unique in it’s design and special equipment to meet the needs of severely mentally handicapped children of all ages. The school will provide programs for trainable mentally handicapped, profoundly mental handicapped, autistic, visually impaired, and deaf and hard of hearing students. There will also be speech and language programs available.

The new center consists of six single story buildings under one roof that are connected by a common central interior corridor. Each of the individual buildings, or wings, will house classrooms, physical therapy rooms, a clinic, administration, media center/library, vocational labs, gymnasium, dinning area, and a swimming pool.
