PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The Bethlehem School project consisted of an approximately 140,000 sf Kindergarten through Twelfth Grade facility with classrooms delineated and consistent with each grade. The project was constructed on the existing school site, therefore the construction took place in two phases.
Phase I was constructed around the existing facilities and during school-year activity. This phase consisted of 75% of the project, including classrooms, science lab, home economics, choral/band, auditorium, and a new kitchen with adjacent cafeteria/activity area.
Phase II encompassed demolition of the existing schoolhouse and construction of the remaining classrooms, media center and administration offices. The school also includes a renovated gymnasium with new locker rooms and training rooms.
Construction of the facilities incorporated load bearing masonry, structural steel with brick veneer, and standing seam roofs. Interior partitions are painted CMU.
