CURRENT STATUS (8/15/08):
This month has seen finishes commence in building “A” building with the hard tile being installed in the main bathrooms. The prime and first coat of paint has been applied to the walls on the lower two floors and the acoustical ceiling grid is being installed. This has allowed the electrical trade to install light fixtures and light up the spaces. The HVAC system has been turned on for floors 1 and 2 so the spaces can be conditioned ready to receive wood doors and casework next month. The brick work has been completed this month and this trade has demobilized. The blue arctic glass continues to be installed In “C” & “D” building this month. (See attached pictures). Interior inspections have been received and insulation and drywall has begun in building “C”. The high roof framing work has been completed at the clerestory area. All HVAC equipment and exterior louvers have been delivered and installed this month. Flushing and commissioning start up has taken place and is on-going with each unit. The cladding trade has field measured the project and the material has been released which will take about six weeks to arrive on site. Several changes have been requested and the change management process is moving along timely so this new work can continue in the field with minimal impacts. Tropical Storm Fay hit hard this month with continual rains for three days and high winds. This has caused some damage to the drywall and installation and the process has commenced to remove and replace. We are wrapping up the submittal process and finalizing outstanding requests for information with the Architect. The Architect has responded promptly to the needs of the project and continues to keep pace with job issues and progress. All requests for information (RFI’s) are currently up to date. The project continues to be on schedule and our next milestone date to continue finishes with drywall and acoustical ceilings and continue to install the curtain wall system to close up the buildings. Wood doors and casework are scheduled for September to commence. The project is on target to maintain the GMP price and at this time the current estimated sales tax savings is $257,291.48. The August requisition was completed and submitted on August 28th 2008 and we are currently billed at 66% of the project total.
