PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The new facility will replace New College’s existing Palmer Buildings A, C, D, and E which currently contain a mix of academic and administrative spaces. Work of this project will consist of the design and construction of approximately 30,000 GSF (Gross Square Feet) of faculty offices, academic classrooms, business offices, general administrative offices and support facilities. Upon completion of construction and relocation from the Palmer Buildings, the existing structures will be demolished and the site restored. This will be a LEED certified project.

CURRENT STATUS (07/12/10):
Construction Update: 3rd floor hollowcore planks will be set Friday, 7/2. The structural topping for the 3rd floor will be poured on Friday, 7/9. Underground chilled water line work continues on the west side of Bay Shore Rd. Duct installation will begin this week. Miscellaneous framing has started and electrical and plumbing rough-in will follow. The project is currently 32% complete and is on schedule.
