PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The Design/Build team of Ajax Building Corporation of Georgia and Baker Barrios Architects has been selected to deliver the Teacher Education and Learning Center at the College of Coastal Georgia. The $6.9 million project will provide a new 30,000 square foot classroom and laboratory facility to house the College’s growing teacher education programs, as well as the service-learning and student academic support programs.

The new facility will be comprised of state-of-the-art classrooms, teaching and computer labs, conference rooms, study lounges, a learning center, TRIO,TRIO offices, faculty offices, storage and an administrative suite that all include the latest in technological advances in teacher education. The project will incorporate the requirements of the Energy Efficiency & Sustainability Act and has a goal of 2 Peaches on the Georgia Peach Green Building Rating System.
